The Shepas Era Continues!! Tiger Pride!! The Ginger Update It has been a long time since I have updated this page.  This is week 6 of the third season under Coach Rick Shepas.  The Tiger face mighty St. Ignatius this week.  Is this a defining game for the Tigers?  No, of course not.  It's just another game.  As lame as that sounds, it's true.  Part of the reason we've made the unbelievable turn around is the focus of our head coach on taking things one week at a time.  Not just during the season, but year round.  Work on the little things, and the big things will come.  This philosophy has rubbed off on our Tigers as well. The players of course know this is a big game.  But everything is not riding on this game.  If we lose, we will play next week.  When we Win, we will still have to play and be focused next week.  We still have a long way to go this year.  We all want the Tigers to do well this week but we shouldn't let our desires as fans interfere with the big picture philosophy I know our kids believe in.  Lift these weights, run this many sprints, watch this much film...  Our players are Tigers again.  Do whatever it takes, whatever our coaches ask, because it's important to be a Tiger again in Massillon.  These kids are no longer satisfied with wearing the jersey, they want to represent the jersey with honor, dignity, pride and a sense of "hey, it's my job to carry on what was started before me."  "I'm able to have a shot at a state title in this little town because those who came before me wore their jersey's with honor, dignity, and pride!"  Go Tigers!!  Beat Ignatius!!! COME OUT WITH TOTAL CONFIDENCE, AND NO DOUBTS IN YOUR HEAD. IT'S TIME FOR US TO GET THE RESPECT BACK, THAT WE HAVE LOST, LETS SHOW THE STATE AND THE NATION THAT MASSILLON FOOTBALL IS BACK!! WIN THIS GAME FOR THE TRADITION, FOR THE TOWN, AND MOST OF ALL FOR YOURSELVES, AND THE TEAM. PLAY WITH EVERYTHING YOU GOT, LEAVE IT ALL ON THE FIELD, AND COME BACK TO THAT LOCKER ROOM AFTER THE GAME WITH NO REGRETS! DO THOSE THINGS AND YOU WILL BE VICTORIOUS! BE PROUD TO HAVE ON THE ORANGE AND BLACK, YOU WILL MISS THESE TIMES AS A TIGER, BOTH OF US DO. LETS PAY THEM BACK FOR WHAT THEY HAVE DONE TO US IN THE PAST. SHOW THEM WHO THE REAL STATE POWER IS.
